Kidney Yang, also called Ming Men Fire (Gate of Life Fire), is the body's pilot light. It's the root of all Yang energy in the body, warming every organ and fueling metabolism, digestion, reproduction, and circulation. Located between the two Kidneys, this fire is what keeps you warm, motivated, and alive. When it burns strong, you have abundant energy, warm limbs, strong digestion, and healthy libido.
Cold hands and feet (year-round), pale complexion, frequent clear urination (especially at night), lower back and knee weakness/coldness, low libido and impotence, infertility, loose stools (especially morning diarrhea), edema (especially lower body), fatigue, depression and lack of motivation, weak and slow pulse, pale swollen tongue with wet coating.
